SWEET SUITE 209 – Interior Design at Neue Spinnerei Wangen

We present here an example of the interior design of two properties in the Neue Spinnerei Wangen - a special project and a great location; after all, the property is located in the middle of the planned surroundings of the State Garden Show, which will be shown in Wangen in 2024. Instead of compulsive densification of residential space, the area around the property will be unsealed and the terrain renaturalized. In addition to commercial units, the Spinnerei will also house apartments in loft format - according to our plans, a large loft (300sqm with a surrounding roof terrace) and a smaller suite (79sqm) are currently being designed and developed.

SWEET SUITE 209

The assignment, and at the same time the challenge for the implementation of the suite, was first of all to tear down already existing walls and thus 'imagined' walls again - our client was not happy with the proposed standard planning and invited us to imagine once again an empty space and meet the desire to create more space and, above all, an all-round positive feeling of space on 79sqm.

In addition to a completely new floor plan, the structural intervention on our part consisted first of all of 'uncovering' the view and designing the room in such a way that the view and light were already given a 'free' ride from the entrance to the terrace. We placed the kitchen-living room in the center and replaced the entrances to the living room, bedroom and bathroom with sliding glass doors, which on the one hand make it possible to separate the space and on the other hand to expand it if necessary. This also created an ensuite bathroom that can open not only to the bedroom through a 'hidden' cabinet, but also to the center of the apartment - so that a little greeting from the kitchen can be handed directly into the beautifully designed freestanding tub. - Enjoy !
